Special Delivery Sample Cards

I spent yesterday playing with the new Special Delivery range of goodies from Trimcraft. There are so many  things to choose from and are themed around green and red and pink and blue. The range includes clear stamps, stickers, washi tape, wooden shapes, gems, flowers, decoupage, glittery papers, buttons and pegs.

In this card I used 2 heavy weight sheets of acetate to make the card, I used stickers for the main image onto glitter card and then edged the front panel using a snow writer. The papers and buttons and twine are all from the matching range.

This was a small A6 card using the stickers, flower and papers in a quick card. The parcel background paper is all glittered adn the checked panel down the side is washi tape.

This one I saw made Rosemary Merry on the tv and thought it was a pretty effective card. I used various papers from the pack along with a few buttons. This card will be on my next class list.

If you attended the card classes last week you will recognise the style of this card made using Special Delivery Clear Stamps and papers instead of the fairy stamps and embossing that we used on Sheilaghs card. The cat in the centre is made using the Cat clear stamp along with paper piecing. The teddy bear on the front is one of the stickers.

This sample has been the most popular so far, the stamped  penguins are so cute!

This is another one I saw made by Rosemary Merry, it shows off the washi tape really well.

This one was made using another of the clear stamps and colouring them in with promarkers and decoupaging them.

April/May Classes and News

April/May Classes and News 01257 273404

Classes available for booking from Monday morning.

As you may now be aware, we are going to be moving shop premises very soon. We are not going far, only further up Pall Mall towards town to number 58, next door to Les Premier Food, and Whiskers Hairdressers. It is all quite exciting as soon in our lunch hour we should be able to nip next door for our lunch or a haircut, and next door but one for a new dress at  ‘Dress  For Less’ which is a lovely ladies clothes shop, what more could you ask for, haircut, crafting , food and clothes, sounds like heaven to me.

Our proposed dates for moving are currently Sunday 22nd– Monday 23rd May, with us opening on Tuesday 24th May at 10am.

We will have more space for classes and clubs as the new shop has an extension at the back which fits the bill perfectly. So we should soon be able to offer a couple more extra places on each of our classes, and we should also have a couple more places on each of our clubs as well.

The clubs are currently held every Tuesday morning from 11am – 1pm, and the 3rd Friday and the last Wednesday evening 7pm – 9.30pm of every month. The cost is only £1.50 per person and includes tea or coffee.

All of the clubs are a ‘bring your own projec’t theme and not a class, although everyone shares ideas. The clubs are not like a class that you have to book on, they are something that you commit to coming to every week or month, and places only become available when somebody leaves the club or as in this case where we will be able to add another couple of places.

You will only be able to join one of the clubs and not all of them (unless the places don’t fill up), to make it fair and it will be on a first come first serve basis. We will keep a waiting list also in case anyone leaves.

I am considering starting a knit and natter group one morning in the near future as well, so if you would be interested in that could you let me know as well please.

SPECIAL OFFER FROM MONDAY 11TH APRIL UNTIL SATURDAY 30TH APRIL (shop only not available online)

When you spend £30 or more on products in one transaction you will receive 20% off  your total spend. CLASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS OFFER, Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers.

We wil be closed on Good Friday (22nd April) and for the Royal Wedding on Friday 29th April.

We will be open on Bank Holiday Monday (25th April) 10am – 4pm.

Demo Day Pictures

Thank you to everyone who attended our demo day on bank holiday sunday. Kay made some fabulous samples using Paper Artsy Stamps and Viva Paper Soft Colour inks. We should hopefully have some more stock of the Paper Soft Colour back in stock very soon as we almost sold out on the day.

This one snuck in, my daughter getting ready to go to the cream music festival.

I will hopefully upload pictures of the samples that Kay made tomorrow.

Well Done Ethan

I just had to show you these fantastic projects made by one of our youngest crafters, Ethan Green who is only 8 years old. Don’t you think they are just fantastic!! Please leave comments to let him know how clever he is.

Lindsay Mason Demo Day

Thank you to Lindsay for a fantastic demonstration day today, and thank you to every one who attended. Everyone enjoyed themselves ( some enjoyed themselves far too much and even made Lindsay blush!!)

It was great to see some new ideas with alcohol inks, the way Lindsay coloured ribbon and flowers with it was fantastic and I will certainly be trying that out for myself.

These two cards were made by Lindsay, the scrapbook papers used were from the Retro Tim Holtz paper pad, and the owl was  a Personal Impressions set of stamps.

The flowers and the ribbon on this card were coloured with alcohol inks, very pretty!

I am sure Sheilagh will be sitting with her feet up tonight, she spent all day trying not to bang her bad toe, I think it only happened once and her Sister in Law Pat performed a quick bit of first aid to it.

We also all said goodbye to Sandra who is leaving us to live in Spain next weekend, all that sun and sea and relaxing, I just dont know how she will cope!! We will all miss you Sandra, come back and see us soon.

See You Soon
